Restorative Reset – Power through Stillness

Are you exhausted or overwhelmed?

Most of us lead lives that reinforce our working at fast forward speed and then we collapse into exhaustion. These days feel just too over-scheduled, too busy, too distracted. 

We come up with so many plans: new resolutions, new diets, new bucket-lists and the constant promises to ourselves to take better care and take more rest.

But it’s not so easy, so we don’t.

This is where Restorative yoga comes in. Restorative yoga is an antidote to the busy life in fast forward mode. Restorative yoga is a gentle yet very effective practice. 

It is simple, easy, and a very potent tool for reducing stress and releasing tension. Only 10 minutes of a Restorative yoga pose will change your day, mood, perspective, and ultimately life.

This online self care program is built around three restorative yoga recordings with Maxi. Each session offers a different theme and and takes about 75-90 min. In each session we create space to let go, turn inward, and rest deeply in our own being.

Join Maxi Meissner, a yoga and science nerd, who will guide you through three, 1.5h recorded sessions using different restorative yoga and breathing techniques for quieting the nervous system, facilitating mental and physical release and connecting to attention and awareness.

Ashtanga Mysore Yoga Immersion for Newcomers

We are happy to announce that we are finally offering our well-received 1 Month Immersion course to Ashtanga Yoga Mysore Style for newcomers again! Live, in person at our yoga school starting with the opening workshop on 4 September at12.00h!

What you receive (in the period of 4.9 – 3.10.):
  • The Comprehensive Opening Workshop to Ashtanga Mysore (yoga philosophy, pranayama, foundations of posture practice). Date: 4 September, 12.00-14.00h, given by Maxi
  • Unlimited Ashtanga Mysore classes
  • 1-on-1 guidance from an experienced yoga teacher 
  • Being part of an inspiring and supportive group of practitioners

We welcome all with a serious interest in yoga, personal growth, all who seek more space, peace and strength in body and mind to this special one month course. You need to be able to commit to joining our morning practice three times a week, a practice takes about 1h.

For whom:
  • For total beginners to yoga – learning yoga through the Mysore style method is the best and safest way to start your yoga journey as you learn through 1-on-1 guidance of an experienced teacher, and practice is customized to your needs and capacity. It will just be “right”. We really work with you, and we love that!

  • For practitioners of other yoga styles who are either curious about Mysore Style, who want to practice towards daily (without pushing or overdoing) and/or who look for more depth in their practice.

 No previous yoga experience is required. Everyone is welcome!

Chandra Krama – Nourish Your Body, Mind & Soul

Replenish the well-spring of energy that is oftentimes lost as we rush through the business of our days. Honor and be present with what is instead of trying to get anywhere.

You will leave this mini self-care retreat feeling deeply nourished in your physical, mental and energetic body.



In this workshop Maxi will guide you through the full Moon Sequence, or Chandra Krama. The practice begins as a gentle vinyasa flow, moving slowly deeper while bringing continuous awareness to the breath and inner sensations, relaxing and soothing the nervous system. This practice finishes with a series of nurturing restorative poses.


For everyone who wants to feel more:

This mini self-care retreat is suitable for all levels of yoga practitioners.

Modular Yoga Adjustment Training for Yoga Teachers with Maxi Meissner

Dates:  16/17 October 2021 & 13/14 November 2021; 10.00-15.00

Due to much enthusiasm and big success we are organizing this special training for yoga teachers (and teachers in training) in Groningen again in 2021!

In this comprehensive modular adjustment training you will develop your observational skills, learn and practice effective and safe hands-on adjustments that both address common misalignment and encourage inner guidance. The modules build upon one another.
