Accepting changes in our inner and outer world as Accepting changes in our inner and outer world as seasons is accepting reality and embracing what is. So often we resist changes. When we resist we spend a lot of energy resisting/being against what is and in this make it soooo hard for ourselves. I witness this in so many people on and off the mat - and in all honesty I also still catch myself caught up in holding on to a different version of me on occasion ….😃 I’m grateful I now have the resources to hold space for when this may happen, rather than react and bully myself. When we observe nature, we observe that the only given in life is change. Wishing for everyone to witness all the immense beauty and power within the process of transformation. 🌟 Exciting news for all Ashtanga practitioners! 🌟 Exciting news for all Ashtanga practitioners! 🌟 For the past 3 years, it’s been an absolute joy to share my 6-months Intensive Ashtanga and Ayurveda Programs with so many of you. These programs have been such a special space, where we come together over time, immersing ourselves deeply in all things Ashtanga Yoga - with many shared laughs and insights. Watching so many of you grow—not just in your practice and skill but also also in perspective and self-compassion—has been truly inspiring. Today, we say goodbye to one of our dear regulars, Today, we say goodbye to one of our dear regulars, Palak @flickeringhues , as she heads back to India. Having one of our regulars leave always comes with the coexistence of different emotions. There is sadness because we’ll deeply miss Palak’s gentle and compassionate energy and the connection we’ve built over time. When someone shows up regularly, as Palak, they really “become part of the Mysore Room” and their absence leaves an empty spot. Also, the bond between teacher and student grows over time with depth as the process as teaching becomes more subtle. But there’s also so much joy first of all for the beautiful connection and also in knowing that Palak leaves with a strong toolbox of practices she’s cultivated over the time she’s been with us. Now Palak is rooted in her Kriya, Pranayama and Asana practice and is trying to really be discerning and embrace a balance between abhyasa (dedicated practice) and vairagya (surrender). She established a sadhana that will guide her no matter where life takes her. And she will be forever be in our hearts 💞 Palak, thank you for allowing me to be part of your practice journey and for letting me witness your inner shifts along the way. You’re taking so much beauty with you, and I know you’ll continue to bring even more into the world. ✨ Exciting News! ✨ Starting 1st October, you ✨ Exciting News! ✨ Starting 1st October, you can now join us for  Ashtanga Mysore Yoga practice from 7 AM onwards on ALL weekdays! 🌅 Whether you’re an early riser or prefer to ease into your morning, we’ve got you covered with our new expanded schedule. Here’s how it looks: ✨ Monday, Wednesday & Friday (7-9 AM) Join me (Maxi( for Ashtanga Mysore Yoga on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7-9 AM. Fridays kick off with led foundational poses from 7-7:30 AM, followed by Mysore style at 7:30 AM—feel free to join after 7:30 if that suits you better! 🙏 ✨ Tuesday & Thursday (7-10:30 AM) Tuesday: First the wonderful @thian_lim will guide Ashtanga Mysore Yoga from 7-9 AM, with me taking over from 9 AM onwards.   Thursday: First enjoy a supportive space for self-practice from 7-9 AM, followed by Ashtanga Mysore Yoga with me from 9 AM onwards. ⏰ We open every weekday morning at 6:50 AM. I’ve thoughtfully added these extra practice times to provide you more flexibility, consistency and support.  I’m also very exciting and happy to welcome Thian as a regular teacher on Tuesday mornings from 7-9AM. More about his amazing energy and presence to come soon! ✨ This expanded schedule offers plenty of space to fit your needs—whether you’re just beginning or deepening your practice. 🧘‍♀️ As you know, balancing supporting our community at the shala and my family is very important to me. That’s why I cut out the very early practice times on Tuesday and Thursday about a year ago - it was too much for me not seeing my son on all weekday mornings.  Now while I’m present early 3 mornings at the shala —I’ve kept Tuesday and Thursday mornings to share time with my fam. It’s a special part of my week to connect with my son before heading to the shala to support you. 💕 I’m thrilled to being able to offer you more practice times, with the added support of Thian and Peter (who opens on Thursday for self-practice) - without our amazing community this change would not be possible.
