In the Mysore Yoga Style method we teach 1-on-1 in In the Mysore Yoga Style method we teach 1-on-1 in a group setting. There is no fixed entry or exit time ✨🧘🏽

This often is confusing for folks who are not familiar with the Mysore Yoga method. In fact, most people are used to group classes where everyone starts and ends at the same time and follows the same program. Thus, seeing “Monday 7-9.30h” on our schedule can seems like a reeaalllly looooooong class😱 
...while in fact a practice can last anytime between 45-100min or so in that practice window of 7-9.30h☺️✅

Hereby a post about our schedule and what we actually do:

👌🏼For Mysore Style practices on weekdays, you can arrive at the shala from 6.50h onwards. On Monday, Tuesday and Thursday you can arrive as late as 8.30h and on Wednesday as late as 8.00h.

👌🏼During Mysore Style practice we work with you 1-on-1 in a group setting, practice is adpated to you and your needs and capacity. You start & leave at your own time, within the practice window (e.g. Monday: 7.00-9.30h).theres nothing you need to know about yoga to start🙏🏼

👌🏼On Fridays we offer the led primary followed by a short lighthearted yoga talk. This class is a great benefit to understand the energy of and harvest focus in the transitions between the state of an asana and the asana itself. For everyone who already practices Mysore Style, regardless of how far you are in your practice. You practice until where you usually practice in Mysore class and then observe. So much is learned by observing. We start together at 7.00h.

👌🏼On Saturdays we start with a led class up to the end of the foundational poses, then continue Mysore Style. If you are not familiar with our practice yet, it's best to come for the Mysore Style part only and arrive at 9.30h. Then the teacher can help you 1-on-1. on We start together at 9.00h.

Our practitioners really enjoy the depth that the Mysore Style of practice gives them on and off the mat, the personal attention and adjustments, the consistent schedule and the feeling of community.

After our last led primary class, I talked about one of the Niyamas: Santosha, the practice of contentment.

The practice of Santosha asks us to take root in a calm center, recognise the richness already present in our lives and be grateful for what we have. Easier said that done, right👋🏽, especially in this world where our attention can so easily get distracted by all sorts of things we seemingly "need to acquire / achieve / be a part of / get done before our life can really start". 

In this new episode of the Bhumi Yoga Talks, I lay out the ingredients that make it possible to cultivate Santosha and herein discuss:
